Certification Eligibility
Graduates
of the Penn Foster Pharmacy Technician Program are
automatically eligible to take the PTCB (Pharmacy
Technician Certification Board) examination. You
will also receive the Pharmacy Technician Workbook and
Certification Review. This workbook is the only Pharmacy
Technician workbook officially endorsed by the American
Pharmacists Association (APhA).
State Licensing Requirements
For residents of Indiana, Nevada, North Dakota, South
Carolina, and Utah, State Boards of Pharmacy may impose
a variety of different requirements for pharmacy
technician training. The state of Washington will not
consider the training received in this program adequate
to fulfill pharmacy technician credentialing
requirements. You should contact the State Board of
Pharmacy to obtain the requirements applicable to
pharmacy technicians in your state.
