"The Pharmacy Technician"
-by Morton Publishing and Perspective Press/January 1999*
- written in part by Andrew Cordiale, CPhT
The content is the collaborative effort of educators and practitioners to produce a comprehensive and applied text that reflects current practice and will prepare technicians for employment.
In addition to focus on practice is important foundation information (how drugs work, why interactions occur, etc.), we believe technicians who understand why they are doing something will perform a better job. (see pages 202-203)
The text is designed for easy understanding. Topics are presented using a visual format that makes it easier to identify important points and make the connections between concepts. Over 400 illustrations are presented.
This text has been developed for students. Besides its visual format, it has a woven pedagogy throughout. This includes a running glossary, end-of-chapter key concept reviews, over 175 self-test questions with answers, and an end-of-text glossary.

"The Pharmacy Technician Instructor's Manual"
- by Morton Publishing and Perspective Press/March 1999*
The Instructor's Manual was developed to correspond with the above two text books. The Instructor's Manual includes learning objectives, lecture suggestions and activities, transparency masters, handouts, and other items of use to a training class. When used with the text and workbook, instructor's can provide a comprehensive and effective course that will prepare the student for success in the workplace.
The pages in this manual are printed back-to-back. This means that a handout on one page may have a transparency master on the back with a different topic. It is generally a good idea to make single sided copies of any pages you intend to use in class thus avoiding an error in handouts and/or
transparencies.
