This site is for Pharmacy Technicians/Technologists that work in any pharmacy setting around the world no matter what your job title may be. This site is expanded with ideas and thoughts about Pharmacy Technicians as a whole. There are many facets of Pharmacy Technicians from around the world and the roles that we perform now and the new ones in the future. There are many educational concerns that have affected us all, e.g. mandatory/voluntary certification vs. non-certification, licensure, registration, colleges that offer Pharmacy Technician Associates Degrees, Certificate Courses, Military Technician Training, Distance Learning, etc. RxTrek has many areas which you may directly contribute to and also learn from. I urge you to take full advantage of RxTrek and all it has to offer.
Sincerely,
Andrew Cordiale, CPhT

RxTrek (http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/RxTrek) is a well-designed site developed and maintained by a certified pharmacy technician in New York State. The home page features a great deal of information for more than 18,000 certified pharmacy technicians in the United States. It includes a scan of "my letter from President Clinton" (complete with presidential photograph) dated September 9, 1996, concerning the direction of U.S. health care. Certification review guidelines as well as job and information postings section make this a very useful site for pharmacy technicians.
There is also a shopping area, which features several drug references and texts, and an opportunity to buy an original 1972 pharmacy stamp issued by the U.S. Postal Service ($5.50 each, one per customer).
